One of the most popular tourist resorts in Crete is located just nine kilometers west of the city of Chania and is known as Agia Marina.
The beach of Agia Marina has lovely golden sand and crystal clear waters and is suitable for all ages.

Opposite the beach the island of Theodorou is visible. It is a natural protected area and in order to visit it a special permit from the Forest Service is required. The island is the habitat of the Cretan goat known as the kri kri, which were transferred from the high mountains of Crete to protect them from poachers. It is estimated that today there are about 80 wild goats on the island and are protected by a forest guard.

Agia Marina has become a greatly developed touristic area whereby you will find a large range of taverns, restaurants and clubs with Greek and foreign music.
Here the fun climaxes under the hot scorching sun with exuberant carefree youthful moments at the various famous Beach bars of Agia Marina.

Chania has a good public transport with regular bus services to Agia Marina, mainly in the summer and great taxi services from Chania.

About 100 meters from “Armonia”, you will be able to enjoy one of the most well known night clubs of Chania, Villa Mercedes. As for beach bars, there is Ammos & Ilios, also one of the well know places to visit.
